The Prepared Bystanders

Activating Community & "Saving Lives"

Physically - Mentally - Emotionally

Welcome
"I am so glad you are here!"

Have you ever been in a situation where you just needed someone to ask if you are OK?
Probably because you were not OK!
This is who we are as a Prepared Bystander - the first person who stops to ask someone involved in a road crash:
"Are you OK" and "Can I help you?".
If this sounds like you, you are in the right place,
and I am so glad you are here to join us!

The first thing I would like you to do

This project is growing every day!
If you would like to be the first to know what is happening next, then join our mailing list
by adding your name and email address to the box below.
By doing so, you will receive a bonus free information booklet I have pulled together called the
"Top Five Concerns People Have About Helping At A Road Crash - And What To Do About Them".

Are you still not sure if you are in the right place? Click the 'Who We Are' button to your right to find your Tribe!
Who We Are

And that's not all

If you are ready to learn from the educational films we are making for this project,
click on the tab at the top called 'Films To Get You Started' and watch for free.
The big picture plan is to make a journalistic style web series of short films
focusing on specific aspects of helping at a road crash,
such as 'Where will I park to make the area safest?'
'Which casualty should you go to first - the screaming child or the silent parent?'
'What if there is a dog in the car - and he's injured too?'
These and more questions will be addressed film by film.
The plan is also to offer a monthly live Q&A session with a panel of experts, tailored to what you want to know.
As you can imagine, this is going to involve paying a film set crew, hiring locations, paying experts for their wisdom ...

So, there are two ways you can help out.
Firstly, we have a tax-deductible donation set up with Documentary Australia. See the link below.
Secondly, if you work for or know the boss of a company looking to Sponsor a project such as this,
then send them a link to this website and ask them to give me a call.
My details are on the Contact page noted above.
If you are the boss of a company, then take a look at what we have to offer our Sponsors.

I will continue to add "free" films around the topic of this project that you will be notified about
via the Newsletter you signed up for (about to sign up for) or you can return here every few weeks.
Once we are ready for the Sponsored Films, you will have an opportunity to get your name in the credits
by helping us a little more. I'll keep you updated by newsletter,
so make sure you add your name to our mailing list!

I hope you are glad you made it here too!

Help us get this project up and running

Once The Prepared Bystanders is ready to launch, the plan is a low cost of close to $5 per month membership. To make that happen, we need philanthropic support to cover the costs to get the project to the point of launch. We have approval for fiscal sponsorship by Documentary Australia, and you can make a tax-deductible donation on their site from this link or the QR code to the right, if you prefer: https://documentaryaustralia.com.au/project/the-prepared-bystanders/
Thank you for your support of this community.
